Living to Go
“And you will be My witnesses, telling people about Me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 NLT
At Cross of Christ we believe that mission is not a ministry of the church, but the heart of the church’s identity. Missions are simply part of our spiritual DNA. This means that instead of waiting for people who don’t know Jesus to come to us, we need to first go to them; to reach out to the many who are exploring the world – searching for truth – and to serve their greatest need, that of a Savior. And as God continues to grow His Kingdom with the saving of many lives, we know the day will come when it’s time to start another church, and another, and another. It’s what we have been called to do – grow the Kingdom of God by helping people everywhere intersect life & the love of Jesus!
We know we are living to go when we…
…meet people where they are and live like Jesus in loving them just as they are.
…reach out into our communities and to the ends of the world sharing the love of Jesus.
…participate in mission trips.
…plant new churches.
…support missions financially and in prayer.
