Living to Learn
“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching (God’s Word), and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer.” Acts 2:42 NLT
At Cross of Christ we believe that life is a process of becoming, and through His Word, God is at work transforming us to be more like Jesus. When we study God’s Word we learn to love Him along with the people He has placed in our lives, which is why we encourage people to look for opportunities to fellowship together, eat together, pray together, play together, and spend time in God’s Word – together. The hope is that by doing so we will find ourselves growing in our marriages, families, friendships, and community as we intersect our life with the love of Jesus – the Word who became human (John 1:14 NLT).
We know we are living to learn when we…
…set aside time for Bible study, both in small groups and on our own.
…provide spiritual growth for all ages, and develop & support leaders in our homes & communities.
…help parents assume the role as the number one faith-shaper in the lives of their children.
…teach others to share their love of Jesus.
…begin and end all we do in prayer.
